We were proud to deliver our largest residential construction project to date, an 18‑storey build‑to‑rent tower in the heart of Preston for Aware Super and Barings, developed in partnership with Barings.
The completed project comprises 292 studio, one‑bedroom and two‑bedroom apartments, including seven duplex townhouses, six retail shops, and a three‑level basement car park. Residents also benefit from high‑quality amenities including a landscaped courtyard, residents’ lounge and rooftop terrace.
A strong focus on efficiency guided Kapitol’s approach throughout the ECI phase and design development. Innovative construction and management solutions were identified to support timely delivery and cost savings while maintaining the architectural intent. These initiatives included alternative materials and finishes, an alternate roof structure, and the installation of a brick snap façade that removed the need for scaffolding, delivering significant programme and cost efficiencies.
High Street Preston was delivered to a 7‑star NatHERS target, incorporating passive daylighting and shading strategies to enhance environmental performance.
The project reached completion in early 2026.
