Topping Out | NEXTDC M2 Melbourne Stage 6

Earlier this week we celebrated the topping out of Stage 6 at NEXTDC’s M2 Melbourne Data Centre—a significant milestone in this complex and innovative project.

This stage, targeting a 5-star NABERS rating and 5.5-star energy efficiency rating, has been made possible through close collaboration and innovative solutions. Working with NEXTDC, our Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) approach helped us overcome complexities and deliver several value-driven outcomes, including:

• Prefabricated modular designs, featuring precast core modules.
• Super T bridge beam superstructures, eliminating the need for columns in the data halls, maximising net lettable area (NLA), and enabling flexible data rack layouts.

This milestone is a testament to the incredible collaboration between NEXTDC, our team, and the many stakeholders involved in this project.
