Kapitol sat down with the Australian Financial Review to explain how our culture of sharing mistakes and lessons learnt is driving productivity outcomes on our construction projects.

When Kapitol was founded in 2018, founders Andrew Deveson and David Caputo made it their mission for all employees to learn from mistakes by talking openly about them and for the business to invest in systems that prevented problems recurring.

“Every construction company is just looking at what it costs to change,” Caputo explains. “There’s too much reliance on peer-to-peer learning in the construction industry.” “But as for the peers you’re leaning on, how do you know they were told or given the right information? Standards change, regulations change.”
