150 Kapitol Staff Give Back: 290 Hours Supporting Melbourne Community
When we say our vision is to build the best buildings, do no harm, and improve the construction industry for a better life, we mean it extends beyond our project sites.

Kapitol has been ranked number one in Hubexo’s 2026 Construction League, Australia’s annual ranking of the top 50 builders by total value of projects commenced during the previous calendar year.
The 2026 edition reflects projects that commenced construction in 2025. Across 17 projects, Kapitol recorded a total project value of $3.503 billion.
The result marks a significant milestone for Kapitol and reflects the confidence placed in our team to deliver large-scale, technically complex projects across Australia.
The Hubexo Construction League ranks builders by the total value of projects that commenced construction in 2025 across the commercial, community, industrial, legal and military, and multi-residential sectors.
Nationally, the top 50 builders commenced 722 projects in 2025, representing a combined value of $43.9 billion, up 32 per cent year-on-year. Against this backdrop, Kapitol’s result reflects the increasing scale and complexity of the work being delivered by our team.
Kapitol’s project footprint was concentrated in Victoria, which accounted for 94 per cent of activity, with the Northern Territory making up the remaining 6 per cent. By sector, 59 per cent of commenced project value was in industrial work, including data centres, high-voltage substations and technically complex industrial facilities. Residential represented 23 per cent, with commercial, community, and legal and military sectors each contributing 6 per cent.
Hubexo highlighted Kapitol’s high-tech project capability as a key factor behind the result, with the company joining the top 10 for the first time and taking the number one position.
For Kapitol, this recognition reflects more than project value. It speaks to the systems, people and technical capability required to deliver complex work at scale.
Kapitol’s ranking comes at a time of significant change across the Australian construction sector.
Hubexo’s report notes that the industry is moving toward greater selectivity, with leading firms placing increased focus on data-led decision-making, technological maturity and higher-value developments.
This is the environment in which Kapitol’s model is designed to perform. As projects become more complex, and as clients place greater emphasis on certainty, buildability, safety, quality and delivery capability, the role of a technically sophisticated builder becomes increasingly important.
Melbourne-headquartered and operating nationally, Kapitol is well positioned to support clients delivering high-value and technically demanding projects across Australia.
Being ranked number one in the Hubexo Construction League is a proud milestone for Kapitol, but more importantly, it reflects the trust our clients, consultants and trade partners place in our team. As the industry continues to evolve, our focus remains clear: to build the best buildings, do no harm, and improve the construction industry for a better life.
If you are planning a technically complex or high-value construction project and would like to understand what Kapitol can bring to the table, we would welcome the conversation.
