It is the collective responsibility of our entire industry to change its role in greenhouse gas emissions. Kapitol envisions improving the construction industry for a better life. That’s why, just prior to the Christmas break, we hosted a Sustainability Workshop with key industry stakeholders, aiming to share knowledge and foster collaboration.
The workshop facilitated insightful presentations and discussions, offering unique perspectives on sustainability barriers and opportunities—from financing to commissioning. The workshop initiated connections among stakeholders, fostering collaboration across the construction sector.
Presentations addressed strategies to overcome industry hurdles in decarbonisation, emphasising early-stage focus on embodied carbon, increasing industry knowledge for sustainable certifications, scaling the adoption of Passivhaus principles, exploring alternative building materials, and understanding how sustainable buildings enhance the end-user experience.
