At Kapitol, we are dedicated to fostering progress and connection among our team members. Operating successfully in a department that is spread across multiple projects can be challenging. To overcome these challenges, we have implemented regular departmental forums to facilitate collaboration and breaking down barriers. These forums go beyond mere meetings; they serve as gateways for our staff to connect people in the same or similar roles, fostering discussion, and the sharing of information. Examples of groups who meet regularly in these forums are Project Managers, Site Managers, and Contract Administrators. Since their introduction, these forums have significantly elevated our teams, enabling the exchange of constructive feedback for career growth.
Traditionally, construction site teams have operated in silos, missing crucial opportunities to share information that could benefit the entire company. These forums are one way we’re trying to break down those silos and encourage greater sharing of information. By bringing staff in the same or similar roles together regularly, we aim to develop relationships that will translate into greater collaboration and sharing of information outside of the forums. Investing in our people is at the core of our mission, with ongoing learning and development programs being just one facet of our commitment.
By nurturing the well-being of our teams through these forums, we believe we can achieve remarkable feats in construction. Here is how:
We believe that by encouraging open dialogue, collaboration, and innovation, we can achieve exceptional results in the construction industry.
